
All over weights and cardio workout!
Equipment: Barbell, TRX, Kettlebell, Ropes, Olympic Rings (you can use either the rings or the TRX, you don’t really need both)
Warm-up:
Handstands, walking up the wall, kick-up to handstand, free handstand (with a mat if you’ve got one) – we are working on handstands this week. If you want to know why and read about what you can do to improve your handstand read more about inversions.
3 x Stairs with weights in each hand (we are on the 3rd floor – you can do what you think is appropriate)
Main workout
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Barbell Thrusters
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Burpees
Perform 10 thrusters (with a challenging weight and good form) then go straight into a regular burpee. Rest for 20-30 secs, then do 9 thrusters and 2 burpees and so on…
Breather
Then to finish your workout 15 secs on 15 secs off for 5 rounds:
- Ring Pull-ups
- Battling Rope
- TRX Jumping lunges
- Kettlebell swings
